HOW NOT TO GET “HUNG” ON QUALITY ISSUES....

One of our “little secrets” to success is to learn what the customer wants.  We deal with such a wide range of companies that we have to be flexible in how they operate.  Our quality assurance system is designed to be compliant with ISO 9000 and QS 9000 standards.  

Sometimes the part print or material specification simply does not tell the whole story.

The more information we can get from our customers about what their goals are, the better we can serve them.  Our greatest successes are from dealing with our customer’s engineering and design departments to offer suggestions on part development from our point of view.  In one recent case, our input saved the customer $30,000 in the first year and even more in subsequent years.

We have a 0PPM with a number of our customers by making the instructions as simple and easy as possible.  Our “Job Specific Instruction Sheets” include photographs on exactly how to check the various characteristics of a part.  We include “fit and function” gauging when possible, and utilize strict lot control to ensure the highest probability of conforming parts!

In the end we want to ship the best parts possible to our customers.  Parts that are right for the job, and conforming to our customers goals.

We know our Quality Systems are working when we get repeat business from the same customers again and again!
